The University Clinic Magdeburg is a non-profit academic medical center. It is dedicated to outstanding service in patient care, and excellence in research and education.

The Department of Hematology and Oncology covers clinical care for the entire spectrum of hematologic and oncologic diseases.

Our department also includes a unit for autologous and allogeneic peripheral blood stem cell transplantation and is providing outpatient care for patients who underwent peripheral blood stem cell transplantation.

The research program of our department focuses on stem cell biology and signal transduction of hematologic diseases. Our research is supported by funds from the German Society of Research (Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft), German Cancer Aid (Deutsche Krebshilfe) and other research organisations.

We offer participation in a wide spectrum of clinical studies which cover malignant lymphoma, multiple myeloma, acute and chronic leukemias and autologous/allogeneic peripheral blood stem cell transplantation.
